17. Third-Party AI Assistants and Connectors (MCP)

VicSee offers a connector that lets you use VicSee from third-party AI assistants and Model Context Protocol (MCP) clients (for example, Claude). When you connect VicSee to such an assistant, the following applies in addition to the rest of this Policy.

17.1 How the Connection Works

  • You authorize the connection using OAuth by signing in to your VicSee account and granting access. We never receive your credentials for the third-party assistant, and the assistant never receives your VicSee password.
  • We issue access and refresh tokens that authenticate requests from the assistant to your VicSee account. These tokens expire automatically and can be refreshed or revoked.

17.2 Information Processed Through the Connector

  • Prompts and generation parameters you (or the assistant, on your instruction) submit.
  • Public input URLs you provide as references. The connector accepts publicly accessible URLs only and does not access files on your device.
  • Account identity from your OAuth authorization, used to attribute usage and credits to your account.
  • These requests are processed the same way as requests made directly on VicSee (see Sections 2, 3, and 5); outputs and metadata are retained as described in Section 6.

17.3 Role of the Third-Party Assistant

  • The AI assistant or MCP client you connect from is operated by a third party and governed by its own privacy policy and terms. That client sends your prompts to VicSee and receives the generated results on your behalf. We do not control how the third-party client stores or processes data on its side.

17.4 Your Controls

  • You can disconnect the connector at any time from within the third-party assistant, and revoke VicSee's side of the authorization by contacting [email protected].
  • Revoking access invalidates the associated tokens and stops further requests from that assistant.
